Newly-crowned Formula Renault 3.5 champion Carlos Sainz Jr. has spoken of his renewed hopes to join Scuderia Toro Rosso in 2015 in the wake of Daniil Kvyat's move to Red Bull next year. The Spaniard won the 2014 title at the series' final round in Jerez, becoming the first Red Bull junior to achieve such an accolade. Despite leading the championship since its second round in Aragon, the 20-year-old was overlooked for an initial Toro Rosso seat in favour of teenager Max Verstappen.
