Moscow Raceway earns 'Grade 1' status
– Moscow Raceway has been granted an FIA Grade 1 licence, allowing it to stage Formula 1 races.The track, located some 100km west of Moscow, opened in 2012 with a T1 licence and has since hosted the DTM, WTCC, World Series by Renault and other leading categories."After three successful international seasons Moscow Raceway has upgraded its status and now can host all kind of races including Formula 1," read a statement on the circuit's official website.The primary 'Grand Prix 1' layout is 3.955km in length and features 15 corners, while the grandstands surrounding the circuit can hold up to 30,000 spectators.The inaugural Russian Grand Prix took place at Sochi Autodrom...
