Spa to fight Nissan's use of Eau Rouge name

– The Spa-Francorchamps circuit says it will contest an application from car manufacturer Nissan to trademark "Eau Rouge".Eau Rouge is one of the most famous corners on the Formula 1 calendar, named after the iron-affected water which runs through the stream beneath it.Nissan is attempting to secure the trademark for Infiniti's Q50 Eau Rouge prototype, which quadruple Formula 1 World Champion Sebastian Vettel helped to develop.But Pierre-Alain Thibaut, Managing Director of Spa-Francorchamps, has made clear that the track will fight Nissan over the use of the name."It's like they want to steal the brand from the circuit," Thibaut said in an interview with...
