British brothers hopeful of £55m Marussia rescue deal
Sutton Images Enlarge A pair of British-Indian brothers who made their fortune in the steel industry say they are "very close" to securing a £55 million rescue deal to save Marussia after it fell into administration. Baljinder Sohi and Sonny Kaushal, a Conservative Party candidate for a council seat in Slough earlier this year, started talks with Marussia at the weekend to save the team and its 190 staff. On Monday it was confirmed Marussia had entered administration, just five days after rival team Caterham suffered the same fate, meaning the brothers will now continue talks with administrators FRP Advisory.
