Alonso: Still work to be done on VSC

Fernando Alonso has given the Virtual Safety Car (VSC) system the thumbs up after a first trial run, but admits a lot of work still needs to be done. Formula 1 tested the new VSC, which forces drivers to slow in an accident zone, after both practice sessions in Austin on Friday. The test is being implemented in the wake of Jules Bianchi's horror crash at Japan, which left him with severe head injuries. Drivers, who will be helped by a dashboard display, are forced to reduce their speed by about 35 percent under the new system.
