Kobayashi confirmed at Caterham for Abu Dhabi GP
Kamui Kobayashi has been confirmed by Caterham ahead of the season-finale around Abu Dhabi’s Yas Marina Circuit, after the Leafield-based outfit successfully managed to raise sufficient funds to participate. The Japanese driver’s team-mate will be confirmed “in due course” by the team, after Marcus Ericsson terminated his contract with after the Brazilian Grand Prix.
Despite slipping into administration last month and being forced to miss the United States and Brazilian Grands Prix, Caterham successfully managed to raise enough funding through their crowdfunding project to make a return to Formula One for the season-finale at Abu Dhabi.
