Hamilton puts down title marker

Lewis Hamilton made an important statement ahead of the title-deciding Abu Dhabi Grand Prix by beating rival Nico Rosberg in Friday practice. Hamilton was quicker in both sessions, by 0.133 seconds in the first and 0.083secs in the second. The two traded fastest times throughout the day as their season-long battle comes to a nail-biting climax. Hamilton leads Rosberg by 17 points and needs to finish second in Sunday's race if the German wins to be champion. More follows
