Hamilton stays ahead of Rosberg in Abu Dhabi practice

Lewis Hamilton emerged as the favourite for the season-finale title-decider in Abu Dhabi after he managed to post the quickest times in both the practice sessions on Friday ahead of Mercedes teammate and championship rival Nico Rosberg. Hamilton was a tenth faster than Rosberg in first practice in the afternoon but Rosberg managed to close the gap to just 0.083 seconds as temperatures dropped during the evening outing. Cooler conditions in second practice, along with a rubbered-in track, were much more representative than in the afternoon, suggesting that the battle between the two feuding teammates could be closer than expected.
