Van der Garde leaves Abu Dhabi early
– Sauber reserve driver Giedo van der Garde has left the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix prematurely due to the team contravening the terms in his contract.Van der Garde was present in the Yas Marina Circuit paddock on Thursday but is no longer at the circuit following the team's decision to hand Adderly Fong his practice debut on Friday.According to his management, can der Garde's contract stipulated that he was to receive track time during Friday's first practice session in Abu Dhabi – as well as a day of post-season testing next week – but the Swiss team opted to hand Fong a run in the C33.Van der Garde raced for Caterham in 2013 before moving to Sauber for this season, where he has...
