Maldonado’s race ended by power unit failure

dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.15;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt;">   November 23rd, 2014 (F1Plus / Rosie Baillie) - Pastor Maldonado was unable to complete the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix after his car caught fire due to an engine issue. Maldonado’s E22 caught fire on lap 29 and was forced to retire for the fifth time this year. “That was a surprising race for me,” Maldonado said. “Our race pace was actually pretty good and I was able to fight with the Ferraris as well as enjoy the feel from the car. “I was able to push and the car worked well on both tyre compounds. “Unfortunately, my race had to end early.
