McLaren-Honda hit trouble on day one of Abu Dhabi test

Williams' Valtteri Bottas set the fastest time on the opening day of the post-season Abu Dhabi test on Tuesday while McLaren's partnership with returning engine supplier Honda hit trouble. Bottas' time was nearly half a second than the field and was followed by compatriot Kimi Raikkonen in the Ferrari. Mercedes' Nico Rosberg was third, over a second off the pace, but completed a mammoth and trouble-free 114 laps. It was the stark opposite at the other end. McLaren, powered by the new Honda engine, was delayed after electrical issues confined the car in the garage in the morning.
