Denmark wants a F1 race

Denmark has thrown its name into the ring to host a Formula 1 grand prix, according to local reports. Denmark last hosted a F1 grand prix back in 1962 when Jack Brabham claimed the victory at the Roskilde Ring. 50 years on, the Scandinavian country is once again looking for a place on the calendar. According to The Copenhagen Post, Danish officials will meet with Bernie Ecclestone in the coming to discuss the possibility of a race in 2018. "It doesn't matter if a little more time passes before this meeting takes place as we are working to get Formula One to Denmark in 2018," the newspaper quotes Helge Sander, a former government minister, as having told the Herning Folkeblad.
