Verstappen's 2015 team-mate to be confirmed on Monday

Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko has confirmed that Max Verstappen's 2015 Toro Rosso team-mate will be announced on Monday. The Dutch driver was originally set to drive alongside Daniil Kvyat at the Italian outfit, but the Russian has been promoted to a Red Bull Racing seat following Sebastian Vettel's switch to Ferrari for next season. Following a three-year stint at the team, Jean-Eric Vergne confirmed yesterday that he is out of the running for the final drive at Toro Rosso. 2014 Formula Renault 3.5 champion Carlos Sainz Jr is thought to be the lead contender for the seat, while GP3 champion Alex Lynn and FR3.5 runner-up Pierre Gasly also look to be in contention.
