Alonso dreams of emulating Senna

Fernando Alonso says he is determined to have a "long and successful partnership" with McLaren-Honda and hopes to follow in Ayrton Senna's footsteps. McLaren confirmed on Thursday that the two-time World Champion will return to the team next year with Jenson Button taking the other race seat. Alonso, of course, left the Woking squad at the end of the 2007 season after a tumultuous one year with the team during which he endured a strained relationship with then team principal Ron Dennis.
