Alonso jumps from Ferrari frying pan into McLaren fire

Just as Fernando Alonso jumped ship from Ferrari to return to McLaren, his poor luck too made the leap along with the Spaniard. Having left Maranello after five barren years where a title eluded him, Alonso hoped to develop a stronger prospect with the returning Honda, that will power this season's McLaren. And although chances of a title for anyone not in a works Mercedes are still unlikely, prospects for Ferrari and even the Renault-powered Red Bull seem better than McLaren. That's because Mercedes' rivals have found a loophole in the regulation that allows teams to develop their power units over the course of the 2015 season.
