Just as Fernando Alonso jumped ship from Ferrari to return to McLaren, his poor luck too made the leap along with the Spaniard. Having left Maranello after five barren years where a title eluded him, Alonso hoped to develop a stronger prospect with the returning Honda, that will power this season's McLaren.
