FIA President Todt awarded Palme d'or
– FIA President Jean Todt has been awarded the International Automobile Festival's Palme d'or for his achievements in motor-sport.The prize is awarded for the outstanding achievements of an individual, who has 'played a fundamental role in the evolution of the automobile.'The IAF handed the award to Todt for his lengthy motor-sport career, as well as his commitment to road safety and other humanitarian causes, such as his role as a founding member and Vice Chairman of the ICM [Brain and Spine Institute].Todt, who has been at the helm of the FIA since the end of 2009, enjoyed a successful career as a rally co-driver before he switched to a management position at Peugeot.In 1993 he was...
