Allison: Fun of F1 is that it s not easy

Ferrari technical director James Allison has admitted that the thought of an engine freeze ahead of the 2015 F1 season would have been most frustrating as the Scuderia attempted to close the gap on its Mercedes- and Renault-powered rivals. Like the French marque, Ferrari was caught on the hop by Mercedes' impressive performance in 2014, and lobbied hard to be able to develop its power unit throughout 2015 in an effort to close the gap.
