Alonso airlifted to hospital after ‘strange' testing crash

Fernando Alonso has been airlifted to hospital after a bizarre accident at Circuit Di Catalunya. The Spanish driver was circulating the track when the MP4/30 suddenly speared right to the inside of Turn 4. While Alonso struck the wall, the impact wasn't enough to damage the car beyond that of the superficial. However, with red flags being thrown, it quickly became apparent that this wasn't a standard loss of control, as Fernando Alonso failed to clamber free of his car.
