McLaren issue medical update on Fernando Alonso

McLaren have issued a statement to update Fernando Alonso’s well being after the Spaniard was hospitalised on Sunday following a crash during the final day of pre-season testing at the Circuit de Catalunya. Alonso lost control of his car on the exit of turn three during the morning session in Spain, probably due to the unpredictable gusting wind, with McLaren unable to find any mechanical cause for the incident. “We are pleased to confirm that, having been involved in an on-track incident at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya (Spain) on February 22nd, Fernando Alonso is making a solid recovery in hospital, and is chatting to family, friends and hospital staff,” read the statement....
