Hamilton keeps Mercedes on top

Getty Images Enlarge Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes set another convincing headline time on the penultimate day of testing in Barcelona while Ferrari completed its first race simulation of the winter. Hamilton went to the top of the timesheets in the afternoon session with a 1:23.022, 0.240s quicker than Felipe Massa's best time on the super-soft tyre in the morning. Mercedes missed out on a couple hours of running around lunch as it embarked on experimental set-up changes, meaning Hamilton completed just 76 laps on his final day in the car.
