Braking issue to blame for Maldonado testing crash

+ Pastor Maldonado says a braking problem was to blame for his crash on the final day of pre-season testing in Barcelona. Maldonado completed 36 laps in during the morning session but crashed at Turn 3 early in the afternoon, breaking the front wing. The team investigated the damage to the E23, but opted to end its test programme early. “It was a shame to end the day early, but that was the only issue we’ve had like this during testing so we can look to the positive that we have a lot of information to take the car in the right direction,” he said.  “My braking was compromised coming into turn four, meaning I went off the track and hit the barriers.
