Time running out for German GP deal

Formula One supremo Bernie Ecclestone says the future of the German Grand Prix has to be decided by this weekend. The German event is facing an uncertain future after neither Nurburgring or Hockenheim - which agreed to host the race on alternate years - have managed to finalise a deal for this year's race. The race is scheduled for July 19. Ahead of the start of the season in Australia next week, Ecclestone said time is running out for the German event. "Certainly by this weekend," Ecclestone told the DPA news agency about when a deal needs to be finalised for the race to secure its slot. "(I'm) not sure it's going to happen."
