Pastor Maldonado was forced to retire on lap 50 of the Malaysian Grand Prix with a brake problem, Lotus has confirmed. The Venezuelan driver started from 12th place on the grid, and picked up a puncture on the opening lap of the race after contact with Valtteri Bottas.
