Bernie Ecclestone is considering the formation of an all-female grand prix series to run alongside Formula 1 to help more women get into the sport. The last woman to race in a grand prix was Lella Lombardi at the 1976 Austrian Grand Prix. However, Williams' test driver Susie Wolff is the currently most active female driver in F1, taking part in two practice sessions last year. She is set for another two FP1 appearances in 2015 at the Spanish and British Grands Prix. However, F1 does remain a very male-oriented sport, and Ecclestone thinks that setting up a women-only series would help to change this.
