Silverstone Wing roof damaged by strong winds
The roof of the Silverstone Wing building has been damaged due to strong winds. Recent heavy wind has caused damage to large parts of Silverstone's corporate building. Most of the damage has been inflicted on the roof and engineers are currently assessing the damage. As part of the upgrades to the circuit, construction of the Silverstone Wing – situated at the new start/finish line was completed in 2011. Sporting director Stuart Pringle believes that the upcoming race meetings will not be affected by the 'cosmetic' damage. said: “Although it looks a bit of a mess at the moment, the damage is largely cosmetic and the structural and functional integrity of the roof remains completely...
