FIA set to mandate engine noise amplification – pit lane rule changes proposed

In a new directive outlined at a meeting of the World Motorsport Council yesterday, the FIA have revealed some of the rule changes put forward for 2016. The 2014 switch from 2.4 litre V8s to 1.6 V6 Turbos was met with approval on all fronts by most, due to the increased power and torque and greater frugality. However, the main sticking point with the general public and race promoters has been the decreased volume leading to a sense of lack of occasion and drama.
