Marko admits Toro Rosso could get “yellow livery”
Red Bull’s motorsport consultant Dr Helmut Marko has implied that its Formula 1 junior team Toro Rosso could run a yellow livery in deference to engine supplier Renault, to enhance its ties with the engine supplier. Renault’s yellow colours were last seen in F1 in 2010, before switching to a black and gold livery in 2011 as part of its transformation into Lotus. Despite a tumultuous start to the 2015 season, during which Red Bull and Renault have each criticized the other, Marko has admitted that options have been discussed to either sell or repaint Toro Rosso to help Renault’s visibility.
