'Mick Schumacher will need time'

Mick Schumacher's team boss has urged calm in the wake of the German's first public test drive. 16-year-old Schumacher, the son of seven-time F1 World Champion Michael Schumacher, tested for the Van Amersfoort Formula 4 team on Wednesday. Putting in the laps at the Oschersleben circuit in Germany, he reported finished eighth, fifth and 12th in the three sessions. His team boss, though, has called for calm and urged the public to give the youngster time to grow. Frits van Amersfoort said: 'Of course we know that his father is a seven-time World Champion. But I want to emphasise that Mick will take the time to learn the trade of the racing driver.'
