Romain Grosjean was relieved to score in China, his first time inside the top-ten since Monaco last season. Starting the grand prix from eighth on the grid, Grosjean made up one place off the line and spent most of the 56-lap grand prix running inside the top-ten. Two pit stops later, in which he went from a soft-medium-medium strategy, the Frenchman was on course for his first points of the season. And with a late Safety Car meaning the drivers had to take the chequered flag in formation, Grosjean finished seventh, scoring his first six points of the season.
