Nostalgia: Schumacher wins in Imola, as Hakkinen crashes out

+ Ahead of the fourth round of the 2015 Formula 1 season in Bahrain, Richland F1’s Andy Young takes a look back at the 1999 San Marino Grand Prix as Ferrari's Michael Schumacher profited from a rare mistake by McLaren rival Mika Hakkinen to win in front of the Tifosi at Imola. After the sheer dominance of McLaren in 1998, the 1999 season had begun in enthralling circumstances in Melbourne with victory for Ferrari racer and perennial number two driver Eddie Irvine, as both McLaren drivers retired from with mechanical woes. Although the Woking-based outfit bounced back in fine form next time out in Brazil with victory for Mika Hakkinen, Irvine still sat atop the drivers’ championship...
