Mercedes AMG Petronas Nico Rosberg set the pace during the second practice session for the Bahrain Grand Prix, which took place under the lights at Sakhir. Rosberg set a time of 1:34.647 to beat Mercedes team-mate Lewis Hamilton by a tenth of a second during low-fuel runs on Option tyres, with the Briton locking-up on his hot lap. Kimi Räikkönen was third for Ferrari as team-mate Sebastian Vettel had a messy session despite setting the fourth quickest time.
