Ferrari began the weekend with a one-two finish in practice one as Mercedes took it easy before the sprang into life with Nico Rosberg topping practice two ahead of Lewis Hamilton. Practice three saw the Prancing Horses close the gap to the Silver Arrows. Hamilton clocked the fastest time while Sebastian Vettel beat Rosberg with Kimi Raikkonen coming in fourth.
