Hamilton still wary of Ferrari threat, despite cruising to Bahrain pole

Lewis Hamilton has explained how he is looking forward to battling with Ferrari during the 57-lap Bahrain Grand Prix, after beating Sebastian Vettel to pole position during an enthralling qualifying hour. Despite the German marque’s superior one-lap pace throughout the weekend so far, the Scuderia were able to split Mercedes with Vettel qualifying a strong second on the grid for the race ahead of Nico Rosberg in third. With the Ferrari once again looking competitive with their long-run race simulations earlier in the weekend during practice, Hamilton is still wary of the threat posed by the Italian outfit despite securing his fourth consecutive pole position of the season.
