Massa thwarted by sensor issue and contact damage

Felipe Massa endured a tough race in Sakhir; narrowly making the start of the race after being hampered by a sensor issue and suffering from mid-race contact with Pastor Maldonado. The Williams driver endured a difficult Bahrain Grand Prix, which began with having to start from the pit lane after being unable to get going on the warm-up lap. He made good early progress in his attempts to recover positions, but contact with Lotus' Pastor Maldonado meant he had to compete much of the race with rear diffuser damage, eventually finishing in tenth place.
