Nasr powerless to prevent pointless weekend

Felipe Nasr was unable to add to his strong start to life in F1 as an unexplained engine issue denied him the chance to ever feature in the points during the Bahrain Grand Prix. Despite having shown top ten pace in practice, Nasr missed out on a place in the pole position shoot-out during Saturday's hour-long qualifying session, but the Brazilian maintained his twelfth starting position through the opening laps of the race, before dropping back shortly before his first scheduled pit-stop. He briefly rose as high as eleventh on his second stint and tenth for a couple of laps on his third, but fell away again at the end to eventually finish up back in twelfth spot.
