Horner: Red Bull needs ‘up to 9 engines’ for 2015

Just before Bahrain Grand Prix, Red Bull team Principal Christian Horner met with Renault executives in Paris who he says have acknowledged the need to get serious about fixing the problems with the 2015 ‘power unit'. Earlier, Red Bull team owner Dietrich Mateschitz had even threatened to pull out of the sport — and dared Renault to consider doing the same. Following the Bahrain GP, Horner says his drivers need up to nine engines in 2015 following a difficult start for both Daniel Ricciardo and Daniil Kvyat.
