Maldonado: It’s been a “complicated” start to the season

Pastor Maldonado has expressed his eagerness to continue improving with Lotus, after a complicated start to the 2015 season during the first four races. As the Formula One circus returns to Europe next weekend, the Venezuelan will be looking to utilise the various upgrades expected on the car to score his first points of the season. Despite the overall competitiveness of the new Mercedes-powered Lotus E23 machine, Maldonado has suffered a far from enjoyable start to the new campaign after a host of retirements. At the season-opening Australian Grand Prix the 30-year-old slammed into the wall at the turn two at the start after a melee with Felipe Nasr and Kimi Raikkonen. Poor luck continued...
