Force India: Priority is to stay in touch with rival teams

Force India boss Vijay Mallya says the priority over the next few races is for the Silverstone-based outfit to 'stay in touch' with rival teams. Despite its VJM08 failing to appear at the first two pre-season tests and a major upgrade not expected until the Austrian Grand Prix next month, the team has managed to score points in two of the first four races. Force India is currently eighth in the constructors' standings, 12 points adrift of fourth-placed Red Bull Racing. Mallya is optimistic the updates will work but says Force India will have to wait a little longer before it can make a considerable step forward.
