Bruno Senna was left to reflect on what might've been after being caught up in the first lap incident, which sent his Mahindra car airbourne and eliminated him from the race. Senna started the race in seventh place, but found himself involved in the incident with Prost and Abt. Trying to avoid the stricken Audi Sport Abt car, Senna tangled with the car, which almost resulted in him rolling the car.
