Max Yamabiko: Strategically complicated

It's a question I must ask… Does Formula 1 need to change? Does it need more powerful cars, fatter tyres, louder engines and lower lap times? F1's much discussed Strategy Group certainly seems to think it does, with the most recent meeting of the minds in Kent last week giving rise to a set of proposals that it believes will improve 'the show'. Whittled down to a few bite-size bullet points, the proposals – which still need to be passed by the F1 Commission and then rubber stamped by the FIA – seem fairly straightforward at first glance, yet they have some wider implications that are not quite as obvious as they seem.
