Arrivabene: Mercedes were overconfident

Ferrari team boss Maurizio Arrivabene believes the reason Mercedes lost out on a one-two in the Monaco Grand Prix was because the team overestimated its advantage and were “a bit too much convinced about their power”. Lewis Hamilton looked to have the win in the bag and had a comfortable lead, until Mercedes made the mistake of pitting him under the safety car towards the end of the race. Hamilton rejoined in third just behind Nico Rosberg and Sebastian Vettel and that's where he eventually finished.
