FIA opens applications for new F1 team
The FIA has opened applications for prospective new teams to enter Formula 1 for the 2016 or 2017 season. Though Haas remains on course to make its much anticipated F1 debut next season, the FIA is nonetheless giving the opportunity for other teams to express their interest in joining the series. In order to meet criteria, the FIA will select candidates based on the 'overall long-term interests of the championship', with the deadline for applications set for June 30th. All applicants will be expected to undergo thorough due diligence.
