Verstappen ‘feeling fine’ after Monaco smash
Max Verstappen says he has fully recovered from his dramatic crash in the Monaco Grand Prix and is now fully focused on the upcoming Canadian Grand Prix. The Dutchman courted much attention in Monaco with his rapid pace on his debut around the challenging street circuit, but his charge in the race after a slow pit-stop would ultimately end with him striking the rear of Romain Grosjean's Lotus at turn one and collecting the barrier at speed. Though Verstappen laid the blame at Grosjean for braking early at the time, stewards didn't feel the same and duly gave the Toro Rosso driver a five-place grid penalty for what will be his first appearance at the Circuit Gilles Villenueve.
