Vergne: 'The overtakes weren't easy'

Jean-Eric Vergne was delighted to pick up his second Formula E podium of the season, but didn't believe he had enough to challenge second-placed Jerome D'Ambrosio. Vergne managed to jump from fifth to third in the early stages of the race, which ultimately proved the difference in achieving a podium finish. When explaining his overtake on Nelson Piquet, Vergne said: “He [Piquet] tried to pass di Grassi and exited quite badly from the chicane, so I went on the outside, I had a little bit more speed but still wasn’t easy to be on the outside on the bump touching with the wheel, so it was a great move.
