Sauber appoint Smith as technical director

Sauber have bolstered their technical staff by appointing Mark Smith as new technical director. Smith joins the Hinwil-based squad with a lot of experience as he has previously worked for Jordan (2004-2005), Red Bull (2005-2008), Force India (2010-2011) and Caterham (2011-2014). He will effectively replace James Key, who left Sauber ahead of the 2012 season, and will he will take on responsibility for tasks that 'overlaps' the technical committee.
