Lewis Hamilton: “Winning in front of your home crowd is something else”

Lewis Hamilton is eager to experience the same emotions he had in 2014 when he took his second British Grand Prix victory in front of his home fans. The Mercedes AMG PETRONAS driver comes to Silverstone on the back of being beaten by team-mate Nico Rosberg in Austria two weeks ago, but is hoping for a much different result this weekend, with the race victory firmly in the championship leaders target. “I don't feel like I ever really reached my peak in Austria,” revealed Hamilton. “It wasn't the smoothest of weekends for me – so to come away with P2 wasn't a disaster in the circumstances. “Silverstone, though… that's different.
