British GP FP3: Hamilton returns to top
Lewis Hamilton shows consistent performance ahead of qualifying for the British Grand Prix by topping in the third and final practice session. Defending world champion could only post the fourth quickest time in second practice, but the Mercedes driver had smoothly setting the pace on third practice session ahead of Friday pace setter and team-mate Nico Rosberg. The championship leader Hamilton clocked 1 minute 32.917 seconds on the 5.891-kilometres Silverstone course where he won in 2008 and 2014. Rosberg encountered a gearbox oil leak but managed the second best time late in the 60-minute session, half a second behind Hamilton but ahead of the Ferrari duo of Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian...
