Grosjean blames Ricciardo for opening lap clash

Romain Grosjean says an over-exuberant Daniel Ricciardo was to blame for the collision which eliminated both Lotus cars on the opening lap of the British Grand Prix. The Frenchman and Lotus team-mate Pastor Maldonado were involved in a clash with Ricciardo’s Red Bull at Turn 3 which left Grosjean out on the spot. “That was a very short race for the team and I feel for everyone here at Silverstone and at Enstone,” said Grosjean. “Daniel [Ricciardo] must have thought his brakes and tyres would be able to slow him better than they did and the result was the end of both my and Pastor’s race. “No-one likes to end a Grand Prix like that as so much effort goes into making and preparing...
