Hamilton was 'all over the place'

Mercedes AMG Petronas Lewis Hamilton accepted responsibility for a performance which left him a lowly sixth at the Hungarian Grand Prix. Hamilton started from pole position but dropped to fourth into Turn 1 before running wide at Turn 6, slipping down to 10th position. Hamilton survived contact with Felipe Massa early on but then collided with Daniel Ricciardo following the Safety Car period, damaging his front wing. Hamilton was forced to make an extra stop and was subsequently handed a drive through penalty, from which he recovered to sixth place.
