Button rues strategy error despite points return

Jenson Button feels he could have challenged his team-mate Fernando Alonso in the closing stages but for a strategy slip up and leaves Hungary satisfied with McLaren's double points finish. In an incident-packed Hungarian Grand Prix, the former F1 world champion says he was able to benefit from his rivals' misfortunes in the middle chunk of the race but after opting not to pit for fresh tyres during the safety car period Button's late charge became hamstrung. “That was a tough one and a mistake but I still scored points,” Button said. “I didn't stop for tyres under the safety car which pretty much everyone did which made it very difficult because the tyres were quite old at the end...
